A Message From the President,
Dan Neuburger

It is hard to believe that the third quarter is nearly over and we are moving into Fall.  We had a very successful summer, and that is due to your hard work.  Our clients in a recent survey ranked Todays' overall performance well above the industry average - 95% of them said they were satisfied overall with Todays and 96% said they are satisfied with you, the candidate.  These are exceptional ratings, and we would like to thank you for working with our clients to develop a successful partnership!

Thank you again for all your hard work - I look forward to a very successful fourth quarter.

Sincerely,

Dan Neuburger

Do You Qualify for the Todays Referral Bonus?
You are key to the success of Todays Staffing. Our future depends on continuing to recruit quality candidates like you, and this is why we offer a candidate referral bonus. Do you have a friend or family member who is looking for work? Send them to Todays Staffing!

We will provide any working candidate a $50 referral fee for all new candidates they refer to Todays, after the new candidate completes a 40 hour work week.

You are eligible after working only 40 hours for Todays! The person you refer will need to put your name on their application, and after they have worked 40 hours, call your staffing representative for your bonus...it is that simple. Call your local office for more information.

Candidate Spotlight: Magdalene Segredo
Magdalene (Maggie) has been working with Todays Staffing since 2003, and does both reception and clerical work. Maggie's personality is sunny and bright, and she is a very dependable employee. She is punctual, trustworthy and always upbeat.

Her work ethic is superb, and when Maggie goes to a client's office for an assignment, they always request her back time and time again. The Chicago branch consistently has requests from their clients for Maggie, who are disappointed when they are told she isn't available and working somewhere else for Todays. Maggie’s dedication goes above and beyond expectations.  She is the model employee as she takes her assignments very seriously and does her very best for our clients. Todays will continue to place her on assignments with pride! Thank you Maggie for being such a great candidate for Todays!

Do YOU Want to Win $100?

You recently received a survey from Todays asking key questions regarding the level of service we provide you, and your satisfaction with working for us.  For simply filling out the survey, you will be entered for the chance to win a $100 prize!  Did you already delete the e-mail with the survey invitation?  Send a message to info.asn@spanbridge.com to receive another invite.  Thank you for your feedback - it only helps us to ensure we are providing exceptional service and beneficial programs to you, our most valued asset!

Tips for Success at Your New Assignment
Getting off on the right foot at your new job is very important!  Below are some tips for your first day:
1. Show up on time or early, and dress comfortably but appropriately.

2. Jump in with both feet rather than expecting the first day to be orientation. Grab that first assignment and shine!

3. Avoid making assumptions about your manager's expectations. Ask whether your boss prefers oral, written or presentation-style reports.

4. Spend time listening and asking questions to learn what the client needs you to do in your role.

Employment Situation: August
Total payroll employment (non-farm) increased by 128,000 in August, and the unemployment rate changed very little at 4.7 percent, according to a recent report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. Payroll employment grew notably over the month in education and health services; several other industries had modest increases. Average hourly earnings rose by two cents, or 0.1 percent, in August following larger gains in the prior two months.
